How to Fix No Sound or Audio Issues
How to resolve audio issues during calls, meetings, or media playback
Symptoms
- No sound
- Microphone not working
- Headset not detected
- Teams/Zoom audio issues
Steps

Check output device
- Windows: Click sound icon → Choose correct output (speakers/headset).
- macOS: System Settings → Sound → Output.

Check input device (microphone)
- Teams/Zoom settings → Audio → Choose correct mic.

Volume & mute settings
- Ensure device isn’t muted.
- Some headsets have physical mute switches.

Restart the app Close and reopen Teams/Zoom/browser.

Disconnect & reconnect headset
- Unplug USB/Bluetooth → plug in again.
- Bluetooth: Remove device and re-pair if needed.
Troubleshooting
- No audio in Teams only — Reset Teams cache.
- Audio works elsewhere but not in browser — Close all browser tabs and try again.
