How to Recover Deleted Files (OneDrive & Network Drives)
Recover files accidentally deleted from OneDrive or shared drives.
OneDrive
- Go to https://onedrive.com.
- Select Recycle bin.
- Select the files or folders.
- Click Restore.
Shared Drives / File Server
- Navigate to the folder where the file was deleted.
- Right‑click inside the folder.
- Select Restore previous versions.
- Choose a version from before the deletion.
- Click Restore.
Notes
- OneDrive keeps deleted items for 30 days.
- Network drives retain previous versions depending on IT retention policy. Get in touch to see what your policy is.
