How to Reset Your Password (Self‑Service Portal)

This article explains how to reset your company password using the Self‑Service Password Reset (SSPR) portal.

Steps

  1. Go to the Password Reset Portal:
    https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
  2. Select Forgot my password.
  3. Enter your company email address.
  4. Complete the identity verification steps using:
    • Mobile phone
    • Alternate email
    • Authenticator App (if configured)
  5. Create a new password that meets requirements:
    • At least 10 characters
    • Includes uppercase + lowercase
    • Includes a number or symbol
    • Cannot match your last 3 passwords

Common Issues

  • Verification method unavailable: Contact the IT Service Desk to update your authentication details.
  • Password accepted but you can't sign in: Wait 5 minutes for synchronization across systems.
